I’ve started planting for spring, cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, tomatillo, zucchini, squash, eggplant and okra. Did it creep up on me? Yes, it seems like all of a sudden, when I was busy with Christmas, I should have been getting ready for spring. It’s totally different now that I’m starting everything from seed. I have to be on top of it. So, I’ve learned a bit for next season. Start early, earlier that I think I need to. It’s a process. As I mentioned before, I’m planting heirlooms this season, so that’s exciting and we’ll get more into that in later posts, as plants start growing. For now, rest assured that I’ve started my spring garden and it’s very promising. I decided to not expand the garden this season, I’m still too busy at work to take on more home projects. We will just plant the beds that we have now and learn about heirlooms and how to keep cucumber, watermelon and cantaloupe vines from taking over the garden.
